There are a few different types of Düsseldorf Cards – here’s a breakdown of what each one includes:
DusseldorfCard
The classic and most popular choice, the DüsseldorfCard is perfect for first-time visitors wanting to explore the city hassle-free.
Public transportation: Enjoy unlimited travel on buses, trams, U-Bahn, and S-Bahn trains, as well as RegionalExpress (RE) and RegionalBahn (RB) services within the Düsseldorf Centre/North zone (VRR tariff zone 43) and surrounding areas that don’t require an additional fare.
Time scale options: Available as a 24, 48, 72, or 96-hour card.
Discounts: Get up to 100% off at around 80 attractions, including museums, guided tours, bakeries, cinemas, and more, making it a brilliant way to save money while seeing the city.
DusseldorfCard Plus
Perfect for visitors who want to explore beyond the city, the DüsseldorfCard Plus covers not just Düsseldorf, but also the wider Rhine-Ruhr region.
Public transport: Like the DusseldorfCard, this includes free use of all buses, trams, U-Bahn and S-Bahn trains in Düsseldorf and surrounding areas. Additionally, the DusseldorfCard Plus includes free use of local public transport, as well as RE and RB trains in second class across the VRR and VRS regions. This includes Cologne, Bonn, Dortmund, and Essen – ideal for day trips!
Time scale options: Available as a 48, 72, or 96-hour ticket.
Discounts: Includes the same great savings as the standard DüsseldorfCard (up to 100% at around 80 attractions in Düsseldorf) plus extra discounts at restaurants, shows, shops, and tourist attractions across NRW — including Cologne, Bonn, Dortmund, and Wuppertal.
DüsseldorfCard Bike
Prefer to explore on two wheels? The DüsseldorfCard Bike is perfect for seeing the city at your own pace while enjoying free bike hire for the day.
Public transportation: This card doesn’t include public transport but gives you free use of a rental bike for the day. Bikes can be collected from the , located at Düsseldorf Central Station (exit at Bertha-von-Suttner-Platz and keep right). A refundable €50 deposit is required when collecting your bike.
Time scale options: Available as a one-day ticket during the Radstation’s opening hours.
